6th grade end of year activities? I am long term subbing for a sixth grade class. We have about 60 students between two classes, and the kids are very wild. We have about 5 weeks of school left (which about a week and half will be with testing) and I am needing some ideas to get us through these last few weeks. We have fun things planned toward the end like field day and cookout, but I want to incorporate fun things in the classroom with them as well.... any suggestions?!?
What are some great ideas/activities to end the school year? This is my 8th grade year and i'll be graduating this year and moving from head of middle school to bottom of high school. So i'd like to end the year with a BANG! Something we'll all remember. PLEASE help me out all you creative minds out there. Get your answers in quick the school years almost over. :)
End of School Year Activities? I'm a fifth grade teacher looking for some fun activities to do at the end of the year. I'm new to this grade from middle school so I don't have many resources. I'd like to do a few fun math activities and maybe even some science. I've got S.S. and ELA covered. I heard of a fun activity but cannot seem to find much on it. I'd like for them to create and design a cereal box using specific measurements. They did something like this earlier in the year with a house, but the cereal box would be more difficult because it will include volume and surface area. I'd also like to play some games or do some activities that involve probability. Any suggestions or links? Also, we've studied ecosystesm, cells, landforms, mixtures/solutions, and force/motion in Science. Andy suggestions or links? Thanks!
End of the Year Activities? 4th Grade? I'm a first year teacher, still have 2 weeks of school, but have taught almost all of my adopted curriulum and have exhausted all of my own "extra" project ideas. I'm looking for fun, yet educational ideas I could do with my students during these days when they have already "checked out" for summer.
What was the firm's cash flow due to financing activities during Year 2? Over the last year, James Inc. generated $820 million in cash flow from operating activities and had negative cash flow generated from investing activities (-$430 million). At the end of Year 1, James had $140 million of cash on its balance sheet, and the firm had $350 million of cash at the end of year 2. What was the firm's cash flow due to financing activities during Year 2?
End of the year sleepover activities? I'm having an end of the year sleepover. It's going to be the first that is with friends from school. (Have had some with cousins) I want it to be awesome, fun, and memorable. Things that shouldn't be put in answers: -Anything with boys -Watching a movie (ok in background, but not for a major activity) -hiring anybody (budget) I want a kind of girls night in like spa-ish. Please include activities. Please give ideas for invitations and favors (if any). Thnx in advnce! Luv ya!

It's the end of sophomore year, and I hardly did any extracurricular activities. is it too late? Basically I've been depressed ever since 8th grade, but i finally gathered the 'courage' to tell my mom. i'm going to get medication soon (it better work) and will start doing volunteer work during the summer. i've always wanted to get into a top college, but they like to see consistency. since i'm applying in senior year, i only have this summer and junior year for activities. i joined the math team + environmental club, but i'm too shy to be a leader since i'm antisocial. i volunteered about 20 hours so far at a veterans hospital. i have no leadership, so i didn't get into National Honors Society this year. all my friends have been doing so much, and all i've been doing is moping around these past years. i got a few A-'s on my report card, which pulls down my GPA. Do you think i can make up for lost time? And what activities do colleges like to see the most? what leadership stuff can i do that doesn't require much talking/interacting? (sorry for the long read).

Is this based on cash at end of year or beginning of year? Here is the question: Based on the statement of Cash flow, analyze the last three years reported for each company and give the percentage of Cash that is derived from Operating Activities, Investing Activities, and Financing Activities, as well as the total cash available for each year. I have a Cash Flow Statement and it has the cash balance at the beginning of the year as well as the end of the year. What I want to know is should I use the EOY figure or the BOY figure.

What should I wear? Okay...question. By the way, my visit with my aunt was great, and the movie set was excellent. Check my other questions if you do not know what I am talking about. Anyways, I have a bunch of year end activities coming up, for the end of eigth grade. One I have next week is field day. What should I wear...? I can buy some new stuff if I need to, so just give me w/ever you want. I like ralph lauren, juicy couture, and abercrombie. The clothes should be casual, since it is field day. BTW, "Field day" for us is basically an eighth grade carnival, not getting messy or anything. I have a preppy sort of style. Also, please nothing from walmart or kmart or any cheap or tacky stuff. Thanks a million!!!!!! IDK why you thought I sounded bratty. I just like Juicy, Abercrombie, and RL, and I do not like Kmart. Anything wrong with that? I did not say it in a snobby way. I just like fashion...thanks to the people who actually answered my question...

Year-End Stock Price Drop? I'm a newbie at trading and investing, but I just noticed interesting stuff that would please me to be answered. How come on Jan 1, 1988 to Jan 1, 1989. Intel's stock price dropped for a year, but resulted in massive market activity. Did the investors sell all of there stocks? It's funny because NASDAQ de-lists stock prices under 1.0... maybe not during that time. Ford too experienced this phenomenon, and a lot of other companies, especially dot-com ones. What is this called? NYSE:FDO had the same phenomenon from 1988-1989. Still, why the drop?
I'm suicidal and in desperate need of aid (this is not a joke)? As stated in the title, this is not a joke. It is not a ploy for attention, and frankly, this is my final option/last resort. I'm 17 years old, and suicidal. I have dealt with depression since I was eight years old. The official diagnosis came when I was thirteen while attending my first therapy session. In between those two ages, I acquired bulimia (age 8) and cutting (age 12), along with a multitude of other manifestations for my pain. Everything became exponentially worsened at age thirteen because I was bullied and ridiculed on a daily basis. Worried, my mother began taking me to see a therapist. It was in therapy where anti-depressants entered my life, and Prozac drained my emotions. I'm innately a very expressive person, and being robbed of everything: my laughter, tears, ability to scream, it destroyed me. So, the Prozac was no more. By the end of my Freshman year of high school, the visits to my therapists had ceased (my mother was frustrated that I wasn't "fixed") Although the depression never truly subsided, it was manageable during the majority of my high school career. My suicidal thoughts evaporated by the dawn of my junior year. And for the first time in years, I was happy. Then, came the second semester. My grades fell, a beloved extracurricular activity ended its season, and all of a sudden, my world was collapsing once more. My father lost his job, we were inches away from moving during the course of my senior years (I dodged that one, thankfully), money became nonexistent in my household, a friend became pregnant, and worst of all, my best friend was raped three days before my birthday. Every inch of happiness began to elude me, and in almost no time at all, I had returned to the pit I had carved a few years prior. I breathed a momentary sigh of relief as summer began, but with my brother (the comic relief of our household) bound for college, my mother returning to nursing school (which means that I will have to function as a parent for the remainder of my summer), and worst of all, my best friend (the one who was raped and happens to be my confidant) leaving for a university six hours away, optimism is miles away. My friend claims that we will stay in touch and that our friendship will survive the distance, but I know that we will grow apart. She will discover wonderful, fascinating new friends, and see me as immature, out of touch, and ridiculous in comparison to her new company. I worry that we will have nothing in common because she is moving on with her life as I am still confined to my existence. I love her beyond words and promised a monthly visit to her campus, but reality is screaming that this won't work. For a girl who has swum through a sea of poor friends and disappointments, losing her only true friend is pretty devastating. I am supposed to be focusing of the AP English papers I still need to compose, the ACT test I have to do well on, and applying for as many scholarships as possible, but none of it appeals to me. Honestly, it petrifies me. I don't see its worth, and know that I am no where near capable of accomplishing any of it. I just want to die. I want everything to be over. For half of my life, I have been writhing in pain, and I just want it to stop.
How would you describe your idea of a perfect homeschool coop? Some provide monthly social activities...? Some provide weekly social activities and field trips. I have seen some that choose to use the same materials and work together on a regular basis on those subjects. I have seen some that were completely unstructured and only met once or twice a year. I have known some that are very structured and even demand you sign certain statements before joining. Describe your view of a perfect coop. I always like the ones that have weekly social/PE type gatherings for the kids and fieldtrip opportunities. It's also nice for them to have end of year ceremonies or graduations. It is also very nice for them to be able to provide some fine arts like choir/dance classes and sports like soccer or softball for the kids. These take more support and usually have a church backing. Some even have balls or daddy date night for the kids sort of like prom. What are your ideas and dreams for your coop? Redhead- I haven't seen one that didn't let in younger kids. That's sad. All the coops we have been a part of were family affairs with nursing babies up to highschool kids. I have seen some of the bigger organizational conferences bar kids from attending unless they were babies in arms. I'm sorry you haven't found one to meet your needs.

Tax Writeoffs for Company Formed at End of Year? I filed and got approved for my LLC at the end of 2009 (December to be exact). I purchased equipment and performed business activities before my business was "officially" a business in the state's eyes. Is it valid to file my business expenses and payments for the 2009 tax year? Your answer says I can't report startup expenses until the business is open. If I register the business in 2009 (albeit near the very end of 2009), would that allow me to report startup costs on my 2009 filing?

I don't have a date, and seeing as the dance is next week I probably won't get one. This isn't a proble for most people, but it's literally killing me inside. I can't enjoy any of the end of school year activities, and I really want to. I keep telling myself that having a date is not the most important thing, so this is NOT advice I want from anyone. I need advice on how to truly enjoy my end of year activites without wishing I had a date to a dance. Please, give me some advice!!!... * typo problem not proble
