Awareness? What's that??? Awareness once appeared as a requirement on a Social Workers job description. Anyone know how (a) you would know if you had it or not...and (b) where you could get some? Angel...it might still appear but I haven't seen it for at least 10 years. From a philosophical perspective it caused much amusement at the time. The question is not about defining awareness, it is about making something so subjective a qualification.
awareness..? why do some people intend to disregard the issue of global warming...even if people are aware with that they do not do something..however if they do something its just temporary...why do people don't cooperate seriously...sometimes they take it for granted....as they say they just do something if its very too late...why there very people who always break rules...for instance those factories...cars and also people who are creating pollution and sometimes they are the first one complaining...what would be the possible thing to do in order to have temporary solutions to stop this global warming...(this is just like an overview because this has so many effects and people are the mostly affected victim)...

What is consciousness and what is reality? Is awareness the origin of perception, or the origin of existance? Mystics like Jesus, Buddha, and Lao Tzu, as well as modern physics, seem to state that everything in existance is simply the motion of energy at different levels relative to each other, all being part of the whole. However, one pervading concept endures: the awareness of awareness, consciousness. Is this phenomenon the root of existance, or merely an effect of it? Why is everything in motion, if that is the case, instead of being at rest and therefore non-relational, or absolute (Nothingness)? Is reality the result of awareness, or is awareness the result of reality?

Since pure awareness is without thought or judgement how does it work? The essence of ourselves is our awareness which is the seer of all we think and judge, Some people call it our soul, our spirit, or our life force, If it is our life force when it leaves us we are dead. Pure awareness has pure objectivity, So if it is our spirit or soul its only function is to keep us alive and to make our brains create our thoughts and judgements. But how does this awareness, life force, soul, or spirit, actually keep us alive? And when it leaves us where does it go? Does it only activate life?
How do you make the distinction between normal awareness of heart beat and heart palpitations? Heart palpitations are the irregular awareness of the heart beating. How do we get people to distinguish between living with a heightened awareness and being fearfully paranoid? Education is paramount when it comes to being able to fix the problems plaguing us in today's world. However, environmental issues such as global warming, issues over the war in Iraq, terrorism, and problems regarding health and personal safety are difficult for people to evaluate without feeling the fear of what they know. The fear can even become the source of apathy. People often believe what you don't know won't hurt you, but it can. You must somehow develop the ability to distinguish between living with a heightened awareness of circumstances without becoming too afraid and paranoid as well as ensuring others don't quickly call you paranoid because of what you know but they do not. But that doesn't answer my question. How do we get people to distinguish between living with a heightened awareness and being fearfully paranoid?

I am looking to work for enviornmental awareness in my community? I am looking to use my teaching skills to do something in my community for enviornmental awareness, since enviornmentalism is a joke here. My school does not allow me to fulfill this passion. All we have here in terms of awareness in this community is a state park, but that focuses more on history. I'm thinking I'd have to start up something, any ideas and how to go about it?
Is anyone else upset that breast cancer is the only publicized awareness month? I'm all for cancer awareness but why is breast cancer the only publicized cancer awareness month? Many people suffer from all types of cancer daily and I've had family suffer from both Leukemia and Pancreatic Cancer. It's seems that if a celebrity is diagnosed with a cancer or has died from a cancer that's the only way awareness will be publicized. Now that Patrick Swayze has passed I'm sure Pancreatic cancer will be well known coming this November (Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month) Does anyone agree?
What ideas for breast cancer awareness month do you have? I am in charge of this project at work. We are raising money for breast cancer awareness month for October. How can I start an Environmental Awareness week (or day) at public schools? Im wanting to go into pulblic schools and teach about environmental awareness because its something Im passionate about and would love to see be taught to the future generation. How can I do this? What types of activities or things shoudl I have for elementary kids...middle school..high school...and maybe even colleges? Im 20, so I want people to take me seriously because Im very passionate about our environment. And I wont create stupid "fads" like one square per wipe. Im looking to provide recycling bins and such...conservation methods...etc. I have seen An Inconvenient Truth by Al Gore. Im really liking everyone's ideas. And I appreciate everyone's support. I just feel the need to do more for others, and using my passion for the environment to help teach the people of the future generations is an inspiring thing for me. More ideas are welcome and listened too! Its helping me a lot! And to the girl who cant drive yet....you can still help out! Try organizing awareness at your own school by putting up posters, or talking to your principal about bringing in recycling or such. :)
